ROSS BISHOP
Abstract Non-Objective Painter
(initially painted under pen name Wm. Ross)

Born in North Bay and graduated from the U. of Guelph, B.Sc. (H.K.) in 1979 and have lived London since.
Although having a science background, my appreciation always existed for the aesthetics of movement and colour.

To me, abstract painting is simply non-objective. I don't paint objects that you recognize.  It is an introspective method of painting,
which the interested viewer must let the painting communicate.  It may be an instantaneous communication or it may take time.

Abstract paintings make you think, wonder and feel.  There are no easily recognized life lines to grasp for easy understanding. 
That is to say, I am not painting landscapes, so don't look for a tree.
